Job summary

Wistron InfoComm in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Engineer to manage supplier quality for raw materials and prevent production disruptions. The role involves audits, containment, NCRs, and collaboration with R&D, IQC, and suppliers on corrective actions.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year in SQE, supplier development, or internal audits, with strong drawing interpretation and IPC-A-610 knowledge.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of SMT and FA manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with GD&T and IPC-A-610 inspection criteria.
• Quality Systems: ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Hands-on experience with quality control tools and Kaizen implementation.

Responsibilities

• Create non-conforming material reports or special approvals and verify drawings with R&D.
• Request failure analysis related to material issues.
• Evaluate and confirm raw material issues.
• Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) to escalate issues to vendors and request corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure non-conforming material is kept in MRB area until final disposition is given.
• Coordinate segregation and disposition of non-conforming material.
• Create purge notices in WiSQMS system.
• Monitor implementation of material engineering changes in IQC.
• Create and approve SIPs and maintain records in WiSQMS.
• Follow up on SCARs related to material issues.
• Collaborate with IQC engineers to cover functions between SQM and IQC roles.

This role involves identifying anomalies, implementing containment and corrective actions with suppliers, and conducting audits of local suppliers.
