Job summary

Samtec, Inc. in New Albany, Indiana, seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to focus on Mainstream Products and supplier quality improvement. You will investigate defects from external Samtec suppliers and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

You will measure, test, perform root-cause analyses, and lead internal and supplier audits to maintain ISO 9001 and ITAR compliance while collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and management.

Qualifications

• Interpretation of quality data and 2D drawings.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and 8D problem solving.
• Ability to perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure site compliance to ISO 9001 and ITAR requirements.
• Engage with suppliers on quality issues and generate 8D reports.
• Conduct onsite supplier audits (travel may be necessary).
• Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and operations on CAPA.
