Job summary

Honda South Carolina Manufacturing is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to minimize supplier quality issues through root cause analysis and the implementation of countermeasures. The role collaborates regionally to improve manufacturing characteristics and aligns with Honda Development and Manufacturing of America for escalation and solution delivery.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, strong communication, problem-solving skills, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Quality assurance processes and standards
• Blueprint reading and interpretation
• Part measurement and inspection skills (CMM, calipers, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Approve part/process changes for design changes and non-design changes.
• Approve/confirm supplier root cause analyses, development of countermeasures and implementation.
• Perform data analysis, prioritize top impact issues and drive supplier characteristic improvement activities.
• Oversee and manage problem-solving analyses and investigations.
• Coordinate supplier countermeasure activities to provide effective solutions.
• Communicate with suppliers and other departments regarding countermeasures.
• Build technical knowledge of Honda Way and department procedures.
