Major and established international company has an opportunity for a Supplier Quality Engineer I or Supplier Quality Engineer II at their large, high-volume manufacturing site near Atlanta, GA. Essential Functions
- Lead Supplier SREA changes, review PPAP documentation, and analyze supplier performance to meet quality requirements.
- Develop and implement training for Supplier Quality Assurance and Inspection staff on testing equipment.
- Improve receiving inspection processes for supplier components.
- Develop and maintain inspection standards and conduct audits on raw materials and products.
- Coordinate audits and documentation of raw materials and manufacturing processes.
- Lead or participate in quality improvement projects and root cause analysis with suppliers and internal teams.
- Perform annual CQI assessments and review special process systems to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Maintain inspection data, nonconformance reports, and quality documentation.
- Oversee product sorting activities and defective parts return processes.
- Develop inspection protocols for raw materials, including CpK analysis for special characteristics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field with 1+ years for Engineer I, 3+ years for Engineer II; experience in automotive manufacturing preferred.
- Proficiency with ATS, SPC, FMEA, and measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, CMM, Vision Systems.
- Customer service orientation, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with QC tools (Capability Studies, APQP, PPAP), blueprint reading, and measurement techniques.
- Supervisory experience in technical teams.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Access experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% overnight.

Position includes supervisory responsibilities, physical demands such as sitting and lifting up to 25 pounds, and a typical office environment with occasional manufacturing area exposure requiring PPE and steel toe shoes.
