• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, supplier quality, operations, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience working with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Strong understanding of root cause analysis, corrective action processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier quality activities, including supplier qualification, performance monitoring, audits, and improvement initiatives.
• Partner with suppliers to investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) and verify effectiveness of implemented solutions.
• Evaluate supplier processes, materials, and documentation to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Review and analyze supplier quality data, trends, and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Quality teams on supplier changes, new product introductions, and product improvements.
• Support design reviews and manufacturing initiatives by providing supplier quality input and risk assessments.
• Conduct supplier audits and onsite assessments as needed.
• Assist with non-conforming material investigations and resolution activities.
• Maintain quality documentation, audit records, supplier reports, and corrective action tracking.
• Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers and internal teams regarding quality requirements and manufacturing processes.

Konik is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer II to improve supplier performance, ensure product quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain. This role will partner closely with suppliers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Quality teams to identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure materials and components meet customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or a related technical role within a manufacturing environment. This position offers the opportunity to directly influence supplier performance, support new product initiatives, and drive quality improvements across a complex supply network.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
• Experience with supplier audits and supplier development programs.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification or interest in pursuing certification.
• Experience supporting global suppliers or international manufacturing operations.
