Job summary

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer I-III for our Berea, KY manufacturing plant.

The role focuses on coordinating supplier containment, driving corrective actions, and collaborating with procurement to resolve issues and improve overall product quality. The position requires a engineering degree and 1+ year (Level I) or more extensive manufacturing experience for higher levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Level I: 1–2 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Level II: 3–5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Level III: 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier quality: coordinate and support supplier containments and sorting activity; supplier corrective actions and documentation; work with procurement engineers to resolve problems.
• Support continuous improvement activities: identify and implement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, including automation, robotics, and digital systems.
• Resolve quality issues: support day-to-day quality issues (NCRs, line faults, warranty claims) using quality tools and CI methodologies.
• Support manufacturing: provide daily support to manufacturing value streams, including audits and analysis to maintain quality standards.
• Support new product introduction: identify and document supplier pre-production problems and integrate new processes smoothly.
• Maintain documentation: train quality technicians and maintain process documentation to ensure standards compliance.

What you will do:

• Manage Supplier Quality: Coordinate and support supplier containments and sorting activity. Supplier corrective actions, document supplier issues, and work with procurement engineers to resolve problems, enhancing overall product quality.

  Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
  1-2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing
• Level II:
  Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
  3-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing
• Level III:
  Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
  5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing
