Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA, seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer I–II for Harnessing to ensure quality of procured parts and manage supplier interactions across design, manufacturing, and supply chain.

You translate technical requirements into specs, drive supplier improvements, and lead PPAP and root-cause analyses while collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver reliable hardware.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated industry: Aerospace or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related field.
• Knowledgeable on IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 and Space Addendum (certified preferred).
• Experience with harnessing and cable manufacturing.
• Experience working with suppliers or in supplier quality roles.

Responsibilities

• Source and onboard suppliers by assessing capabilities and quality systems.
• Develop supplier technical requirements and process controls.
• Manage PPAP and supplier qualification activities.
• Analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics to drive improvements.
• Provide feedback to suppliers to optimize manufacturing methods.
• Coordinate with purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Lead supplier root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Own supplier SPC, yield improvement, and qualification activities.
• Lead projects and present findings to teams and suppliers.
