Job summary

Dexian in El Paso, Texas, seeks a skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure quality and reliability of purchased parts, materials, and services throughout the product lifecycle.

You will qualify suppliers, monitor performance, drive continuous improvement, manage supplier changes, and collaborate with R&D, Sourcing, Engineering, Operations, and Quality to meet industry standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• Experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Assurance, or a related role.
• Experience with supplier qualification, supplier performance monitoring, and quality improvement.
• Knowledge of quality systems, inspection processes, and supplier quality requirements.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure suppliers consistently deliver quality parts, materials, and services in accordance with established quality standards.
• Qualify and evaluate suppliers according to company standards and requirements.
• Administer Certified Supplier Programs within receiving inspection to improve cost effectiveness and product quality.
• Monitor parts and materials from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle.
• Identify, communicate, and resolve supplier-related quality issues in a timely manner.
• Evaluate supplier internal functions and overall performance, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Sourcing, Engineering, Operations, and Quality, to ensure the delivery of quality parts, materials, and services.
• Provide technical guidance and ensure quality compliance throughout the product lifecycle, with a focus on supplier changes.
• Implement strategies to drive product quality, continuous improvement, and defect prevention.
• Ensure purchased products and components are manufactured and qualified in accordance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
• Develop and implement Product Acceptance Sampling Strategies for new products.
• Coordinate and maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL).
• Support Supplier Owned Quality (SOQ) deployment and Control Plan development for new products.
• Define Receiving Inspection requirements and associated test method validation for internal test methods.
• Support supplier quality improvement initiatives and ensure effective implementation of quality processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
