Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Grand Prairie, Texas, is seeking a hands-on Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to support electromechanical components and assemblies. You will work directly with suppliers to ensure quality, resolve manufacturing challenges, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include leading SCARs, monitoring supplier KPIs, qualifying mechanical components, and collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 2+ years in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Quality.
• Knowledge of SCAR management and problem-solving tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SCARs with containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and timely closure.
• Drive supplier performance improvement through data-driven problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and report supplier KPIs, including Incident Rate, on-time delivery of PPAPs, and responsiveness to SCARs.
• Support qualification and inspection of mechanical components (castings, plastics, fabrications, hardware).
• Ensure suppliers comply with internal specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless supplier integration.
• Support design reviews and influence engineering decisions from manufacturability and risk standpoints.
• Validate supplier processes through remote audits and process capability assessments.
