SafeWorks, LLC is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Seattle, WA, responsible for evaluating and improving supplier performance. The role involves leading improvement initiatives, collaborating with various departments, and creating supplier development plans.
The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in quality engineering, specifically in the new product development of electro-mechanical assemblies, alongside strong communication skills and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices.
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for evaluating, monitoring and improving the supplier base performance for SafeWorks. This is achieved through on-site audits documented in supplier scorecards. The SQE works with suppliers to improve their systems while ensuring the company’s requirements are satisfied. The SQE collaborates with Engineering and Purchasing to identify new suppliers and technologies to be utilized in new products and applications.
