Job summary

Mercury Marine in St. Cloud, Florida, is hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality, containment, and corrective actions.

You will drive APQP/PPAP, support new product launches, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure conforming materials and continuous improvement. The role focuses on electronics (PCB/SMT) and plastic injection molding, with travel up to 30% and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or related field.
• 3–5 years of supplier quality/ manufacturing/ quality engineering experience in a production environment.
• Experience with SCAR/8D, APQP/PPAP, and supplier audits.

Responsibilities

• Own supplier nonconformances from identification through containment, root cause validation, and closure.
• Drive corrective actions (SCAR / 8D) with suppliers and verify effectiveness.
• Coordinate and communicate supplier quality issues and status to internal stakeholders for production continuity.
• Lead containment activities to mitigate production risk and prevent line disruptions.
• Review and approve PPAP submissions and ensure supplier readiness for launches and ongoing production.
• Manage documentation, traceability, and MRB processes to support containment and audits.
