Alan Baird Industries in New Jersey is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to manage supplier quality performance, evaluate, qualify, and monitor suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations. This role acts as the liaison between internal engineering, supply chain, and external suppliers to prevent defects and drive improvements.

The position requires five+ years in quality engineering in a regulated setting; GMP/ISO-13485 familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or a related role.
• Experience auditing suppliers and supporting NPIs is implied by description.
• Familiarity with GMP and ISO 13485 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site and remote audits to verify QC and process capability.
• Lead root-cause investigations for incoming material non-conformances.
• Develop supplier quality data reports and analyze trends for improvement.
• Interface with suppliers, internal engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Provide guidance to Quality Control inspectors.
• Support supplier validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Create incoming inspection documentation and sampling plans.
• Review supplier data and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure timely resolution of quality issues with internal teams.
• Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI).
