AUMOVIO seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer for Component Introduction in Autonomous Mobility. You will drive component introductions, perform risk analyses, and lead corrective actions with suppliers and project teams.

You will manage APQP/PPAP processes and ensure timely supplier audits and SCR execution, while advancing quality across the design, make, and market phases. You will coordinate with international teams, implement preventive quality measures, and support escalation management to

Responsibilities

  • Drive component introduction within customer and development projects.
  • Perform risk analysis and create risk mitigation plan with supplier, SQM P and project team.
  • Drive the risk mitigation plan over the PLC and initiate corrective actions if needed.
  • Identify missing or not up-to-date audits/GQA for supplier audits and request completions.
  • Track and plan SCR execution and ensure in-time sourcing of suppliers with signed decisions.
  • Plan, initiate and control failure prevention oriented quality measures in design/development phase.
  • Implement and control supplier quality assurance measures along the process chain for all supplied goods and services.
  • Lead quality improvement programs and conduct visits/meetings with suppliers.
  • Provide regular APQP/PPAP status updates to project team and customer on demand.
  • Promote Lessons Learned within BA and SQM related to component introduction and supplier quality.

Project Management
  • Drive component introduction within the customer and development projects
  • Perform Risk Analysis & create risk mitigation plan along with Supplier, SQM P and project team.
  • Drive the risk mitigation plan over the PLC and initiate corrective actions (e.g. escalation) if the risk mitigation plan is not on track.
Supplier Selection
  • Identify missing or not up-to-date audits / GQA and request (re-)audit/completion if required from responsible SQM
  • Track and plan execution of SCR
  • Ensure in-time sourcing of feasible suppliers with decisions signed against signature rules
Component Introduction
  • Plan, initiate and control failure prevention orientated, advanced quality management measures in the design/development phase for supplied parts
  • Plan, initiate, implement and control the appropriate supplier quality assurance measures along the complete process chain in the make/market phase for all supplied goods and services
  • Implement and control of quality improvement and development programs of suppliers
  • Prepare and execute visits and management meetings with suppliers
  • Troubleshooting for supplier problems and support Supplier Quality Management (SQM) Plants for escalation
  • Ensure in-time releases of new components
Performance & Reporting
  • Regular update of APQP Status via SupplyOn.
  • To feedback continuously APQP / PPAP status from SQM towards project team / engineering / SQM P
  • To feedback APQP / PPAP status from SQM towards customer on demand
Lessons Learned
  • Promote Lessons Learned within BA and SQM(related to component introduction, component specification, supplier selection, technology experience, new business models ...)
Escalation Management
  • Support Escalation management regarding SQM topics for cross-product family / customer cases
Required Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes
  • Technical understanding of mechanical components
  • Able to read blueprints/drawings and interpret specifications
  • Understanding and capability to collaborate with different foreign cultures
  • Knowledge of Quality Management (including standards of Quality system requirements, policies and norms Risk Management
  • Management skills, tools and techniques which ensures a strategic, profit and resulted oriented handling (Balanced Scorecard, Benchmarking, etc.)
  • Communication skills, including Presentation and Negotiation techniques to operate in different cultures
  • Problem solving and decision-making tools and techniques. Project management skills, tools and techniques. Sourcing

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in the automotive environment with a focus in SQM or quality
  • Experience with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, AIAG
  • Knowledge of SPC and Special Characteristics
  • Experience in working with international teams on SQM or quality issues
  • Processand Product Life Cycle (PLC) knowledge
  • Knowledge of technical cleanliness and PFMEA
