Job summary

Packsize is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to drive continuous improvement and align supplier quality with business strategy. The role ensures materials meet defined quality expectations while fostering a collaborative supply chain.

Four-plus years in supplier quality, ISO 9001/IATF 16949 knowledge, and APQP/PPAP experience are preferred. Travel may be required, and a Bachelor's or Master’s in engineering or related field is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in supplier quality engineering or a closely related role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of QMS including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Proficiency with inspection sampling plans (AQL) and SPC/MSA.
• Root cause analysis methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).
• Experience auditing suppliers and driving corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a high-quality, compliant supply base for corrugated packaging and spare parts for the European Business Unit.
• Lead supplier quality activities for advanced product development, including APQP and PPAP support.
• Develop and implement effective inspection sampling plans; manage deviations, NCRs, and SCARs.
• Monitor supplier performance through audits, scorecards, questionnaires, and data.
• Build strong supplier relationships and drive continuous quality improvements.
• Support material certifications (FSC, SFI) and assist in customer audits.
• Issue and manage NCRs/SCARs with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
