Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a detailed-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer in the United States to lead supplier quality initiatives across the supply chain. You will ensure raw materials meet strict specifications and drive continuous improvement, with Mandarin language skills highly preferred to facilitate vendor communication.

Responsibilities include supplier audits, defect investigations, APQP/PPAP management, data analysis with Minitab, and cross-functional Lean/Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Experience in supplier quality assurance within manufacturing.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Experience with APQP and PPAP processes.
• Vendor management and root cause analysis expertise.
• Lean/Six Sigma principles and GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier audits and onboarding to ensure supplier quality.
• Direct defect resolution and root cause investigations with corrective actions.
• Execute APQP and PPAP for incoming materials.
• Analyze quality data with statistical tools to improve supplier performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with process engineering and vendors to drive Lean improvements.
• Maintain audit-ready quality records, risk assessments and reports.
