Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier development, audits, and PPAP processes across a global partner network. You will collaborate with design engineering, supply chain, and product quality teams to ensure vendors ship conforming products.

The role requires 10+ years in quality/manufacturing, a BS in engineering, and travel flexibility; you will drive zero-defect initiatives, establish quality metrics, and lead root-cause analyses with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in quality, manufacturing, or production development.
• BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Knowledge of SPC, CpK, Gage R&R, PPAPs, and process qualification methodologies.
• Experience with supplier development, management, and auditing to industry quality standards (ISO9001, IATF16949, AS91000, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality activities including PPAP and root-cause analysis.
• Establish incoming/outgoing quality standards and metrics for manufacturing partners.
• Develop supplier quality documentation and drive zero-defect initiatives.

Job description

• Form Energy is hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer
• This role reports into our Sr Manager of Supplier Quality
• As part of our supplier quality team, you support PPAP efforts to ensure vendors ship conforming products to Form Factory 1, in collaboration/partnership with design engineering, supplier industrialization engineering, supply chain, and product quality teams

• Establish incoming/outgoing quality standards and metrics to be utilized by manufacturing partners
• Assist in the development of raw material specifications
• Work with the NPI team to define and manage quality control and acceptance test procedures
• Lead failure/root cause analysis efforts
• Assist in the development of supplier quality documentation
• Drive Zero Defect mentality within the supply base
• Monitor and measure supplier performance related to quality nonconformance
• Work with suppliers on the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
• Work cross-functionally with the Design and Reliability engineering teams to understand the system-level requirements and analyze the component-level performance
• Lead audit activities at suppliers to ensure products are manufactured and shipped according to specifications
