Job summary

Magna International in Moore, South Carolina is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to coordinate supplier quality systems, lead quality aspects of new product launches, and support PPAP/ISIR activities. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the quality systems of global suppliers to ensure purchased parts meet Magna product specifications.
• Lead quality aspects of new product launches, verifying supplier and parts development, and ensuring compliance from handover to SOP.
• Support Advanced Quality Planning activities with risk assessments and process flow diagrams for product development.
• Conduct process and quality management system audits at supplier locations to validate ability to produce new parts and processes.
• Lead quality problem-solving processes for supplier-related issues using methodologies like the 8D approach.
• Communicate with Magna plants and teams worldwide to ensure consistent quality standards and joint problem-solving.
• Oversee the process series of tests and validations with suppliers before SOP to keep everything on track.
• Review and develop supplier quality and production systems and analyze monthly supplier ratings.
• Manage BMW ISIR release process / PPAP and contribute to overall part approval for assigned suppliers.
