Job summary

Magna seeks a Quality Leader in South Carolina to manage the Quality Department, drive KPI reporting, and lead cross-functional improvements. You will partner with Ops, Eng and Purchasing to maintain compliance and supplier quality, while guiding customer quality activities, audits, 8D actions, and training across the team.

The role requires 3–5 years of leadership in engineering/technical operations, exposure to APQP/SPC, and CMM data analyses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical/Industrial engineering).
  • 3–5 years managing technical staff on complex projects.
  • Familiar with APQP, SPC, CMM data analysis and root-cause methods.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Quality Department to drive quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and report KOIs/KPIs; use data analysis to drive corrective actions.
  • Establish quality systems, procedures, docs, and controls for compliance.
  • Collaborate with Ops, Eng, Purchasing and suppliers to define and improve quality.
  • Lead customer quality activities: audits, 8D, corrective actions, and concerns.
  • Supervise quality staff, testing, inspections, CMM, and Layered Process Audits.
  • Foster continuous improvement with benchmarking and cross-functional teams.
