Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) in California to lead memory product quality initiatives. You will collaborate with memory suppliers and internal teams to ensure world-class quality, reliability, and continuous improvement across DRAM products and related memory architectures.

You will drive failure analysis, PCNs, supplier audits, and data-driven quality programs, leveraging tools like Excel and Minitab.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of technical experience in the memory industry.
  • DRAM technical expertise and interpretation of AC/DC datasheet parameters.
  • Strong background in memory quality, reliability, design and testing.
  • Foundational memory quality systems, reliability concepts, and failure theories.
  • Familiarity with physical FA techniques: C‑SAM, SEM, TEM, FTIR, ASE, Hot Spot Analysis.
  • Experience with 8D methodology and SPC for memory quality management.
  • Proficient data analysis using Excel, Minitab, JMP or Tableau.
  • Experience to tailor memory quality specs for Automotive and Data Center.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships for quality programs.
  • Act as liaison between memory suppliers and internal teams to resolve excursions.
  • Manage memory FA, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and improvements.

Job description

NVIDIA is looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to join our team and lead all aspects of memory product quality. In this position, you will champion NVIDIA’s quality standards by collaborating directly with memory suppliers to develop and implement world‑class quality programs. To guarantee quality and reliability of memory products, you will partner with cross‑functional internal teams - including Hardware Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Technical Marketing, and Commodity Management. Additionally, you will monitor vendor metrics, report on quality performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Take charge of comprehensive memory quality initiatives proactively to meet and exceed NVIDIA's quality standards.

  • Cultivate strong supplier relationships to collaborate and align on strategic quality initiatives.

  • Act as the primary liaison between memory suppliers and internal cross‑functional teams to resolve quality excursions.

  • Manage memory failure analysis (FA) by driving root cause determination, corrective/preventive actions, and continuous improvements.

  • Leverage data analytics to monitor memory quality trends and proactively mitigate potential risks.

  • Lead all aspects of product change notifications (PCNs) to assess risks associated with modifications and quality excursions.

  • Conduct on‑site supplier quality audits to evaluate, verify, and ensure best manufacturing practices.

What we need to see:
  • MS or BS in engineering or equivalent experience with 8+ years of technical experience in the memory industry.

  • DRAM technical expertise with professional knowledge of DRAM operations and the ability to interpret key AC/DC datasheet parameters.

  • Strong background in memory quality and reliability, memory design, memory testing.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of foundational memory quality systems, reliability concepts, and failure theories.

  • Familiarity with physical FA techniques, including C‑SAM, SEM, TEM, FTIR, ASE, and Hot Spot Analysis.

  • Memory quality management experience to apply problem‑solving tools including 8D methodology and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

  • Hands‑on experience with data analytic tools to interpret data trends using Excel, Minitab, JMP, or Tableau.

  • Direct experience to manage memory quality specifications tailored for Automotive and Data Center environments.

  • Highly dedicated professional capable of performing complex tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  • Deep background of memory quality engineering and direct experience of memory vendors quality improvements.

  • Extensive knowledge and hands‑on experience in quality enhancement and failure analysis (FA) for HBM and LPDDR architectures.

  • Direct experience in memory technology development and test quality optimization, specifically focusing on HBM3E, HBM4, and LPDDR5.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 235,750 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
