Job summary

Programmers.io is seeking a Quality Engineer with 3–5+ years in hardware manufacturing to lead quality initiatives across compute/server electronics. You will collaborate with contract manufacturers and internal engineering to drive quality standards from proto to mass production.

Responsibilities include defining SOPs, leading quality audits, and managing KPIs while ensuring ESDS and ISO 9001 compliance. Strong communication and project skills are required to report findings to leadership.

Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering or equivalent through experience.
• 3-5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in Compute system/ Server/Consumer Electronics /Hardware manufacturing.
• Working experience with Contract Manufacturers (CM) and PDP build phases.
• Experience with manufacturing Quality audits, Quality KPIs management.
• 5+ years of experience with problem solving methodologies (Ishikawa, FMEA, SCAR, 5 Why, 8D, Pareto, MIL…) and Root Cause Failure Analysis, Fault Isolation of complex hardware systems
• Experience with ESD standards (ANSI S20.20), ISO9001 certification, Quality Management System process compliance.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration on defining quality SOPs, PCNs, Work Instructions etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations and engineering), representing the Quality function.
• ASQ CQE certification, Six Sigma preferred.
• Basic Project Management skills required.
• Proficiency with Office tools and common data analysis tools (JMP, R, Excel,...).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English); ability to concisely report to cross-functional team and management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations and engineering to define quality SOPs, PCNs, and work instructions.
• Represent the Quality function in cross-functional teams with operations and engineering.
• Manage manufacturing quality audits and KPI reporting to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with ANSI/ISO quality standards (ESD, ISO 9001).
• Support CM and PDP phase activities from proto to mass production.
