Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation's EMD in Pittsburgh (Cheswick) seeks an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to support the quality team in the design and manufacture of highly engineered products for Navy programs.

Candidates must be US citizens, able to obtain DoD security clearances, and have a BS in engineering with at least four years of manufacturing experience; travel is about 25% to support supplier activities and audits.

Qualifications

• US citizen due to DoD requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Self-starter capable of working independently to drive actions to completion.
• Auditing experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer or regulatory requirements into supplier instructions.
• Develop supplier oversight activities to ensure requirements are met.
• Present analysis of supplier performance data and trends.
• Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement within the quality management system.
• Identify and resolve potential project or supplier quality issues.
• Participate in maintenance of quality program procedures.
• Review and respond to customer and supplier correspondences.
• Provide technical support to Inspectors, Project teams and Sourcing.
• Mentor less senior Supplier Quality Engineers.
• Perform external, internal, process and supplier audits.
