Job summary

Cytiva, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to collaborate with Engineering, PM, Business Development and Sourcing to manage supplier quality from onboarding through development.

You will qualify suppliers, perform audits, drive corrective actions, ensure QMS/regulatory compliance, and support changes and new product transfers. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical field with manufacturing/quality experience.
• Minimum 3 years in quality and supplier quality management in life sciences, biotech or pharma.
• Auditor with onsite and remote/virtual audit experience; Lean/Six Sigma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Business Development and Sourcing to manage supplier quality requirements.
• Focus on supplier qualification, part/process qualification, supplier audits, issue resolution and ongoing quality improvement.
• Ensure supplier compliance to QMS and regulatory requirements via supplier monitoring processes.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions with suppliers to resolve non-conformances.
• Support supplier/Engineering changes, New Product Introductions and Transfers.

What You’ll Do

• You’ll be collaborating with Engineering, Project Management, Business Development, and Sourcing teams on all activities required to effectively manage supplier quality requirements, supplier onboarding, and supplier development.
• Primary areas of focus will be supplier qualification, part/process qualification, supplier auditing, issue resolution and improving supplier quality performance through continuous improvement activities and quality plan implementation.
• Ensure supplier compliance to QMS and regulatory requirements through supplier monitoring process.
• Collaborate with Suppliers and internal Stakeholders to drive Quality improvements that minimize the Costs of Quality and support implementation of Supplier/Engineering changes, New Product Introductions and Transfers.
• Develop and execute Corrective and Preventive Action plans with suppliers to resolve non-conformance issues.

Who You Are

• Earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or technical field with experience in manufacturing, engineering or quality assurance.
• A quality professional with a minimum of 3 years of quality related work experience, that includes direct experience in quality and supplier quality management, preferably in life sciences, biotech or pharmaceutical industries.
• Qualified Auditor with experience of performing both onsite and remote/virtual audits
• Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management System tools, continuous improvement methodologies, and site level products/processes; six sigma or Lean experience preferred
• The desire and ability to travel up to 30%
