Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a supplier quality engineer to provide quality engineering support to the purchasing team in Johnson City, Tennessee. The role involves collaborating with Purchasing, R&D and Operations to develop risk management, qualification, verification and validation plans for supplier materials.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering and 3+ years in supplier quality, preferably with global exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years relevant industry experience in a supplier quality capacity, preferred.
• Experience working across multiple business units preferably at a global scale.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality engineering support to the purchasing team.
• Works closely with Purchasing, R&D and Operations and engineering team (ME/QE) to develop and implement appropriate risk management, qualification, verification and validation plans for supplier related materials.
• Responsible for managing the supplier development and approval and maintaining the assessment system.
• Supports company goals and objectives, policies and procedures in compliance with quality systems, FDA regulations and MDD/MDR requirements.
• Develops/implements/ensures compliance with supplier approval and monitoring procedures and work instructions.
