Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an experienced supply chain professional to support manufacturing operations by leading supplier-related issue resolution and mitigating disruptions. This role works cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers to identify risks, drive corrective actions, and ensure continuity of production.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in supplier performance, lean manufacturing, and cross-functional collaboration, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (3-5) years of experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Supply Chain, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing supplier escalations, production recovery efforts, and supply chain risk.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborative team player with strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and a high level of professional integrity.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, including occasional short-notice travel to supplier locations.

  • Partner with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, and other cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective recovery plans.
  • Conduct detailed root cause investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions for supply chain issues.
  • Identify potential supplier risks through ongoing monitoring and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate clear and timely communication with internal stakeholders during critical supply chain events.
  • Utilize Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to strengthen supplier performance and operational efficiency.
  • Support the development of standardized processes, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain organization.
  • Act as a subject matter resource for supplier performance and supply chain risk management across operational teams.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the coordination and resolution of supplier‑related production disruptions to minimize operational impact.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, and other cross‑functional teams to develop and implement effective recovery plans.
  • Conduct detailed root cause investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions for supply chain issues.

Salary Range: $75,000-80,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job‑related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
