Siemens Energy is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Charlotte to drive supplier qualification, PPQ, and continuous improvement. You will lead cross-functional teams across the supply chain and technical functions, ensuring robust supplier capabilities and quality outcomes for global projects.
You will apply your expertise in welding/coating, ISO/ASME standards, and root-cause analysis to prevent defects, reduce risk, and enable design-to-cost and localization efforts.

By engaging with the globalSupply Chain Management (SCM) process, you will utilize digitalization tools toenhance our operations. Your expertise will be crucial in addressingnonconformances through containment, root cause analysis (RCA), andimplementing preventative and risk mitigation measures.
SupplierQualification: You will implement and control the support of thecross-functional supplier selection team with essential quality data,conduct supplier audits, and assess supplier capability and risk.
Productand Process Qualification: Lead cross-functional teams to performProduct and Process Qualification (PPQ) in accordance with applicableprocess descriptions and standards, supporting supplier quality measuresthroughout the entire process chain.
SupplierQuality Management: Plan, implement, optimize, and control theefficiency of the defined Supplier Quality Management Process, ensuringthe requested quality while coaching suppliers to adhere to SiemensEnergy’s Quality Management Process and related tools.
SupplierImprovement: Initiate and implement supplier quality improvementprograms, conduct quality root cause analysis, and execute appropriaterisk mitigation measures at the supplier level, tracking theimplementation and effectiveness of these measures.
DesignReview and Improvement: Act as the main interface betweenSupplier Quality Management (SQM) and design engineers during designreviews, conducting reviews with suppliers for new designs and initiatingearly supplier involvement when necessary to support design to localization(DTL) and design to cost (DTC) efforts.
Fluencyin English.
ABachelor of Science Degree in mechanical, electrical, industrialengineering, or a similar discipline is required; a Master’s Degree ispreferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experiencewill be considered.
Aminimum of 5 years of experience in a technical field and/or working inSupply Chain.
Experiencein supplier qualification, product/process qualification, and technical supplierdevelopment to ensure a global, demand-covering, quality-assured, andcost-effective supply base.
Provenability to lead projects and manage virtual cross-functional teams in aninternational setting. You are a self-starter with strong organizational,strategic, analytical thinking, leadership skills, and interculturalexpertise.
Extensiveknowledge in welding and coating, with CWI certification preferred andNACE (AMPP/FROSIO) certification desired.
Familiaritywith ISO and ASME Standards, along with strong analytical thinking andresults-oriented problem-solving skills.
Advancedcommunication and presentation skills, with basic commercial knowledge.
Familiaritywith root cause analysis and other quality and risk managementmethodologies.
Projectmanagement experience is preferred.
Willingnessto travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time; musthave or be able to obtain a passport.
LeadAuditor experience or certification is a plus.
