Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation invites a Summer Internship candidate in New Bremen, OH to gain hands-on experience in Quality Engineering and supply chain processes. You will study prints, quality notifications, PPAP, and defect evaluation while supporting real projects.

You may travel to suppliers to learn critical manufacturing processes and complete assignments that demonstrate your understanding of Crown's quality principles and procedures.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an Engineering or Supply Chain degree.
• Proficient with Excel and pivot tables.
• Ability to develop or learn Excel macros for data analytics.
• GPA of at least 3.2 in your Engineering or Supply Chain program.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read purchase and manufactured product/part prints.
• Learn how to process a quality notification.
• Learn proper defect evaluation techniques.
• Learn how to qualify a purchased product/part via Crown’s PPAP process.
• Potential travel to a supplier to learn about a manufacturing process relevant to fit, form, and function of a purchased product/part.
• Complete assignments and projects to demonstrate key Quality Engineering concepts.

Job Responsibilities

• The candidate will learn to read purchase and manufactured product/part prints.
• The candidate will learn how to process a quality notification.
• The candidate will learn proper defect evaluation techniques.
• The candidate will learn how to qualify a purchased product/part via Crown’s PPAP process
• The candidate may have the opportunity to travel to a supplier to learn about a specific manufacturing process significant to the fit, form, and function of a purchased product/part
• Candidate will be given assignments and projects to illustrate key learnings and knowledge of Quality Engineering principles

Job Qualifications

• This position requires the candidate to be enrolled in an Engineering or Supply Chain Degree
• Proficiency in using excel and pivot tables
• Ability to develop or learn how to develop excel macros for data analytics
• At least a 3.2 GPA in an Engineering or Supply Chain Degree
