Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist – Quincy, IL or Remote

Job Summary

The Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for conducting supplier verification activities for raw materials and other ingredients as required by FDA according to title 21 CFR Part 507 and communicate internally to ensure our teams have the information needed for properly managing our supplier program. This position reports to the Supplier Quality Assurance Manager.

Job Description

  • Manage the supplier approval program to keep current and ensure compliance with ADM, regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Contact suppliers to request information for supplier approval, including risk assessment forms, ingredient certifications, certificates of analysis, safety data sheets, 3rd party audit certificates, etc.
  • Evaluate supplier information and approve/reject suppliers as necessary.
  • Maintain supplier database with complete and current information, including identification of foreign sourced suppliers and materials.
  • Communicate with Procurement to ensure necessary information is approved prior to ordering.
  • Communicate with Quality Supervisors to ensure they have necessary information prior to material arriving at locations (including internal transfers).
  • Ensure supplier program performance reports are routinely communicated internally.
  • Report supplier program non-conformances to the Supplier Quality Assurance Manager & Director of Commercial Compliance for decision-making responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
