Key Responsibilities:
  • Access and interpret supplier part history, nonconformances (NCs), and quality documentation through internal systems.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to confirm that prior defects are not present in current inspection lots by reviewing test data, objective evidence, or requesting reinspection.
  • Assist with the development or review of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring coverage of prior risks and inspection criteria.
  • Communicate directly with suppliers to request documentation, clarify discrepancies, and ensure alignment with quality requirements.
  • Analyze defect trends and support root cause investigations by identifying recurring quality issues in historical records.
  • Maintain well-organized documentation and complete necessary background checks to obtain access to quality systems.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3–7 years of experience in aerospace quality (e.g., Supplier Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer, or Senior Quality Inspector).
  • Hands-on experience reviewing NCs and performing historical traceability to confirm defect resolution.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical data packages, inspection records, and supplier quality documentation.
  • Familiarity with risk-based inspection and ITPs.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage responsibilities independently.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for internal and supplier-facing coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a system-access-heavy quality or compliance role.
  • Exposure to PLM or ERP systems used in aerospace quality management.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 standards and supplier compliance processes.
