Job description

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self‑motivated Supplier Program Manager to help us create the future of flight.

Responsibilities

This position is on site at Manassas, VA but requires a high level of business travel. The role is not a people manager; it serves as the primary point of contact for suppliers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct oversight and management of strategies, performance, and development of large‑scale products and services.
  • Manage technical, business, product delivery, quality, and in‑service aspects of supplier/subcontractor relationships and performance.
  • Establish operating plans to monitor performance against plan and identify and manage all aspects of supplier statement of work, contractual commitments, and performance.
  • Provide technical and business guidance to integrate strategic supply chain activities.
  • Lead stakeholder relationships and performance throughout all contract phases.
  • Conduct and guide supplier assessments; develop current and projected work statements.
  • Lead and establish the basis for recovery, corrective and preventative action plans.
  • Communicate supplier and organization performance plans, risks, issues, and opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute work movement plans.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical education; 14+ years of related work experience, or equivalent combinations such as PhD with 9 years, Master with 12 years, or 18 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to multi‑task on various projects while maintaining accuracy of data.
  • Highly flexible and able to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Basic math calculations; ability to read specifications and blueprints.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Must be a U.S. person.
  • No security clearance required, but must possess the ability to obtain a clearance if the need arises.
Preferred Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of standard engineering concepts, practices, and procedures within an aerospace environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to travel to various domestic third‑party and/or Boeing/Aurora sites (25‑30%).
Salary Range (Annualized USD)
  • Minimum Range: $124,000.00 to $222,000.00
  • Maximum Range: $143,000.00 to $254,000.00
