The Supplier Performance Lead position supports the Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Salt Lake City site in collaboration with the Propulsion System & Controls Business Unit. This role serves as the Material Program Manager for PS&C programs with Interdivisional Work Orders (IWO), overseeing supplier performance, risk management, and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead focal point for NGMS-SLC PS&C programs, monitoring quality, on-time delivery, and corrective actions.
- Ensure recovery plans are established and executed aggressively.
- Act as Control Account Manager (CAM) for PS&C programs, reviewing earned value data and analyzing performance deviations.
- Request, dispatch, and oversee cross-functional resources as required, including supply quality, engineering, procurement, and other program staff.
- Utilize LEAN techniques to identify process improvements that reduce lead-times and costs.
- Evaluate and advocate supplier and company-initiated changes and coordinate appropriate testing and validation.
- Proactively identify schedule and technical risks including sub-tier suppliers, manufacturing, technical and supply risks and coordinate risk management activities.
- Develop supplier-specific metrics to track and monitor supplier health.
- Assist project teams and suppliers in request for quotes, contractual notifications, negotiations, and coordinate supplier responses.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related technical discipline and a minimum of 10 years’ experience (or 8 years with a Master’s) in defense or aerospace systems or production projects.
- Experience in the Defense or Aerospace industry.
- Demonstrated success in leading projects and/or processes to meet cost, performance, and schedule requirements.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external customers.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills for effective communication with all levels of management and contributors.
- Ability to travel domestically.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain US Government Secret clearance.
- Experience in Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in supply chain management on a major program.
- Master’s Degree in a Business or Technical field.
- PMP certification.
- Experience interfacing seamlessly with functional teams, customers, and major subcontractors in an Integrated Product Team structure.
- Experience using SAP.
