Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Supplier Performance Engineer II to support fabrication of structural and mechanical components at supplier locations in Ingleside, TX, Alma, MI, or Vancouver, WA. This role reports to the Large Structures, SPx Manager and is onsite with no relocation.

You will lead supplier oversight, develop oversight plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive corrective actions to ensure compliance with Westinghouse quality and technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in engineering/manufacturing.
• Experience in the Power Generation, Nuclear, or other highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge in manufacturing processes (machining, welding, forming, assembly, NDE and testing).
• Experience performing process capability analysis (Cpk) and qualification.
• Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans, PFMEAs, etc.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications made to ASME standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site supplier oversight to ensure Westinghouse technical and quality requirements.
• Develop and implement Supplier Oversight Plans, manage submittals, inspections and tests, and ensure vendor compliance.
• Coordinate activities of Westinghouse functions responsible for driving supplier performance.
• Identify and escalate supplier issues, risk, and quality events.
• Guide prompt resolution of issues by coordinating communications and corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and implement corrective actions and improvement plans.
• Evaluate procurement risk and develop security of supply risk mitigation plans.
• Manage internal and external corrective action requests and verify actions.
