Job summary

Capital One seeks a seasoned relationship and procurement professional to manage the holistic relationship with key third parties, align stakeholders, and drive cost, risk, and performance improvements across the supplier portfolio.

You will leverage market trends and lead supplier reviews, negotiate deals, and ensure policy compliance while coordinating cross-functionally to support internal customers. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification.
• At least 4 years of experience in Relationship Management, Supplier Management, Project Management, or Process Management, or a combination.
• Bachelor's degree or military experience preferred.
• Preferred: at least 5 years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Operations Management, Risk Management, Project Management, or Process Management.
• Ability to develop strategic solutions and deal strategies.
• Ability to negotiate products and services.
• Ability to manage stakeholder and supplier relationships.
• Knowledge of market trends and industry standards relating to supplier portfolios.
• Ability to ensure third-party relationships comply with policies and procedures.
• Ability to monitor contractual obligations and service levels.
• Limited travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the holistic relationship between Capital One and key third parties.
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal business customers and assigned suppliers.
• Apply knowledge of market trends and industry standards to the assigned supplier portfolio.
• Deliver cost, risk, and performance management efforts for third-party relationships.
• Identify strategic opportunities for growth and greater return on investment.
• Provide strategic and innovative solutions supporting internal customers.
• Identify value-generating opportunities such as savings, efficiencies, or revenue growth.
• Develop deal strategies and align stakeholders to negotiate products and services.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for third parties and manage governance between Capital One and assigned third parties.
• Build cross-functional relationships across business units and stakeholders to ensure policy and procedure compliance.
• Monitor delivery against third-party contractual obligations.
• Manage policy requirements for third-party relationships and lead periodic supplier reviews and assessments.
• Identify, evaluate, and engage suppliers; conduct market research, negotiations, supplier management, cost analyses, and procurement strategy alignment.
