Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking a Supplier Engineer for a 6-month contract in Saint Paul, MN. The role focuses on documentation, process negotiation, and organized project management under SME guidance.

You will lead cross-functional efforts across R&D, Quality, Production, Regulatory and Supply Chain to support products, processes, materials, and equipment, aiming to hit quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety goals.

Qualifications

• Vendor/Supplier Engineer experience 5–8 years with a BS.
• BS in Materials, Mechanical or Electrical Eng required.
• Semiconductors and supply chain knowledge desired.
• Proficiency in Excel, JMP and Minitab for analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D, Process Development, Quality, Production, Regulatory and Supply Chain on complex projects.
• Generate innovative solutions to meet department goals.
• Perform engineering work including tests, specifications, Six Sigma, process study and reporting.
• Summarize and interpret complex test results and communicate findings to the technical community.
• Design and coordinate complex engineering tests and experiments.
• Lead cross-functional project teams and document progress against goals.
• Provide direction to technicians/engineers at suppliers and manage timelines.
• Build quality into all work and ensure compliance with quality requirements.

Job overview:

• Looking for process support across a wide range of technology specialties. Very documentation focused. strong enough technical aptitude to negotiate procedures and convey tech changes. Under the guidance of an SME as needed. Important that they are conscientious and organized from a project and time management perspective
• Leads initiatives for the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety).

Key Responsibilities

• Works cooperatively with R&D, Process Development, Quality, Production, Regulatory, and Supply Chain on complex projects to ensure project success.
• Consistently generates innovative and unique solutions to meet department goals.
• Successfully completes complex engineering work and contributes to new product development teams and product support, typically including the following activities: test of materials or products, preparation of specifications, Six Sigma, process study, and report preparation.
• Summarizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from complex test results.
• Designs and prepares complex reports and communicates results to the technical community.
• Designs and coordinates complex engineering tests and experiments.
• Coordinates, manages, and documents project goals and progress and recommends appropriate revisions.
• Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, products, or equipment.
• Leads cross-functional project teams.
• Develops and/or provides work direction to technicians or engineers at key suppliers. Actively manages project and deliverable timelines with those suppliers.

Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Supplier Engineer experience 5 - 8 Years with BS
• Materials Engineer, Mechanical Engineer and Electrical Engineer degrees only.
• Semi-conductor and supply chain knowledge.
• Familiarity with excel, JMP and Minitab.

Additional Skills

• Strong evidence of technical documentation, SOPs, regulated environments, technical writing and cross-functional coordination
