Job summary

IPD (Industrial Parts Depot, LLC) seeks a Supplier Development Manager to build and manage an advanced supplier development system that ensures high product quality, continuous improvement, and efficiency across internal ops and the supply base. This role drives audits, process capability, and corrective actions while aligning with IPD's quality standards.

The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and support warranty and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality management or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in sourcing, quality, or supplier development within manufacturing.
• Experience with supplier audits, process capability and quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Establish/maintain process control methodologies across supplier operations.
• Lead process validation and capability studies with suppliers for new/existing production.
• Support robust process controls and mistake-proofing techniques.
• Conduct supplier audits of quality systems, capability, and risk prior to approval.
• Ensure ISO 9001 compliance and adherence to IPD supplier quality requirements.
• Lead ongoing supplier audits focusing on capability, metrics and continuous improvement.
• Maintain supplier scorecards and report quarterly results.
• Drive corrective actions and monitor effectiveness of improvements.
• Lead cross-functional projects to reduce waste and optimize processes using Lean/Six Sigma.
• Mentor teams, promote quality culture, and identify cost-of-quality opportunities.
