Job summary

BD is a global medical technology company focused on improving healthcare. We are seeking an Engineer in manufacturing who will lead process optimization, design of experiments, and collaboration across Regulatory, Quality and Supply Chain to ensure compliant, efficient production.

Key tasks include developing inspection methods, reading 2D drawings, and implementing CAPA solutions while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • Proven MS Office proficiency including MS Project and CAD experience preferred.
  • Strong documentation, communication and interpersonal skills with consultative abilities.
  • Basic understanding of statistical techniques.
  • Experience with lab/industrial equipment is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret and modify 2D drawings and 3D CAD for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead identification and implementation of opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes using SIX Sigma and LEAN.
  • Develop and execute experiments and tests on a simple product line to qualify and validate processes; analyze results and report findings.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on process development and validation including IQ/OQ/PQ/TMVs.
  • Initiate and execute part qualification plans and reports.
  • Create project plans to ensure deliverables meet customer expectations using PM tools.
  • Address Manufacturing and Compliance issues (CAPA, non-conformances, audit observations).
  • Manage supplier notifications of changes (NOCs) including EOL components to maintain supply chain.
