Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is hiring for a supplier capability development role. You will assess supplier manufacturing capability, capacity and readiness for new business, and lead capability roadmaps across procurement, SQE, engineering and operations.

You will drive supplier performance improvements, identify bottlenecks, and support capacity expansion and localization efforts in North America, with up to 50% travel. Strong analytical and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in sourcing/procurement or related field.
  • Internship or co-op in supply chain is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assess supplier manufacturing capability, capacity and operational maturity.
  • Validate supplier readiness for new business and engineering changes.
  • Lead supplier capability roadmaps and improvement actions.
  • Drive supplier recovery activities and corrective actions.
  • Evaluate supplier capacity against future demand and identify bottlenecks.
  • Lead cross functional supplier development initiatives with teams across Procurement, SQE, Engineering and Operations.

Meanwhile, you'll have the support and resources of the fastest-growing brand in the construction industry to make it happen.Your Role on Our Team:Develop manufacturing capability within Milwaukee Tool’s strategic supplier base to ensure suppliers can successfully support current production requirements while building operational capacity required to meet long term growth strategy.*This role would require regular travel in North America 50% of the time.*You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:Supplier Capability Development:Assess supplier manufacturing capability, capacity and operational maturityValidate supplier readiness for new business and engineering changesIdentify manufacturing constraints limiting future growthLead execution of supplier capability roadmapsSupplier Performance Improvement:Lead supplier recovery activitiesDrive sustainable corrective actionsVerify implantation effectivenessImprove supplier delivery, quality and productivityCapacity and Growth:Evaluate supplier capacity against future business demandIdentify bottlenecks proactivelySupport supplier expansion and localization activitiesCross Functional Leadership:Single point liaison between: Procurement, Supplier Quality (SQE), Engineering , Operations , Supply Planning , SupplierAligning stakeholders and driving execution of roadmapEvaluate supplier risks to capacity, delivery, quality, business continuity and develop associated risk mitigation plansLeads supplier development initiatives with cross functional teams .
