Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to provide production support and manage simple to moderate complexity projects. You’ll directly support production, drive process improvements, cost reduction, and quality enhancements across manufacturing operations, with hands-on involvement when needed.
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related experience and a minimum of three years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

The Manufacturing EngineerIIis responsible forproviding production support as well as managingsimple to moderatecomplexityprojects. Individuals in this position will providedirect technical support to drive process improvements, cost reduction,andquality enhancement.
Support production operations through troubleshooting problems, supporting maintenance, and ensuring equipment is in control.
Work on continuous improvement projects to increase productivity, this includes any skills as related to project management and vendor relationships.
Drive cost reductionthrough project executions and process improvements.
Knowledge of robotic programming and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of PLC programming for troubleshooting automated systemsisa plus.
Ability to use statistical process control to define problems and present quick applicable solutions to key stakeholders to implement change.
Give direction and training to technicians on manufacturing equipment.
Familiar with manufacturing quality systems and how to implement corrective actions and 8D’s.
Knowledge of one or more of the followingmanufacturingprocesses: Assembly, Grinding, Injection Molding, Cold Forming, Forging, CNC Machining (Lathe/HMC), and Automation/PLC Programming
Prepare equipment/process improvement analysis and cost justifications for necessary capital equipment and other manufacturing expense spending.
Conduct capability and time studies and implement improvement plans.
Ensure the transfer of information to appropriate shift and plant-wide personnel.
Monitor and review budget and forecast and factor into daily decisions.
Participate in Kaizen and project engineering as necessary.
Have basic knowledge in finance to understand concepts of Capital investment, payback, and standard costs.
Identify project risks and implement risk reduction plans.
Possess a high sense of urgency and delivering information in a timely manner.
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or relatedexperience.
Minimum ofthree(3) years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, time management,and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of production systems and techniques.
Able to problem solve and use root cause analysis.
Ability to work hands on with the equipment if needed
