Job summary

BETA Technologies is seeking a Supplier Compliance Engineer to partner with Materials & Process, Programs, and Procurement teams. You will onboard, assess, monitor, and maintain suppliers on BETA’s Approved Supplier List and support audit reporting and RCCA actions.

Role requires 4 years in engineering or related field, ISO 9001/SAE AS9100 experience preferred, and US citizenship for access to facilities. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; attention to detail; bias for action; good analytical skills and logical thinking.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with supplier management and auditing preferred.
  • Experience using an online ERP system and Microsoft Office or Google word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation apps.
  • Ability to travel +/- 30%.
  • This position requires US Citizenship to enter secure supplier facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Be the go-to person for new supplier onboarding, reassessment, and special process witnessing audits.
  • Act as a conduit for clarifying and assessing aerospace and BETA’s quality requirements.
  • Work directly with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Verify and evaluate the control of supplier’s QMS and of applicable special processes.
  • Responsible for SCAR creation, issuing, tracking, and collaborating with suppliers on RCCA for identified findings during assessments.
  • Review KPIs of supplier rating system and help determine BETA’s level of oversight.
  • Generate audit reports based on the items above.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of BETA’s processes regarding Supplier Management and Supply Chain practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Four-year degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of one-three years of industry experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing company that is certified to ISO 9001 or SAE AS9100
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; attention to detail; bias for action; good analytical skills and logical thinking
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience with supplier management and auditing preferred
  • Experience using an online ERP system and Microsoft Office or Google word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation apps
  • Ability to travel +/- 30%
  • This position requires US Citizenship to enter secure supplier facilities
Above and Beyond Qualifications:
  • AS9100D Lead Auditor Certification
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification is a plus, as is Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action investigations; First Article inspections and FAA conformity inspections or test plans.
  • Collaborating with suppliers on Supplier Corrective Action Request

The wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role. $95,000 — $115,000 USD
