SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY-ASSISTANT FOOTBALL COACH Job Details | Broward County Public Schools

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Cooperate with and assist the Head Coach.
  2. Have a detailed plan for each practice.
  3. Be aware of his/her legal responsibilities and take precautions against any negligence.
  4. Ensure the adequate care and maintenance of equipment.
  5. Keep the Head Coach informed of the physical condition and welfare of the players.
  6. Be highly competent in the activities.
  7. Teach the fundamentals of the activity.
  8. Perform and promote all activities in compliance with the equal employment and non-discrimination policies of The School Board.
  9. Participate in training programs offered to enhance the individual skills and proficiency related to job responsibilities.
  10. Review current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibilities.
  11. Ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures.
  12. Follow federal and state, as well as School Board policies.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or designee.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  1. Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
  2. Shall have a knowledge of the activity and be able to impart this knowledge to the participants.
  3. Computer skills as required for the position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently as needed to move objects.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District's approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the School Board.
