Job Title: Supplemental Guest Transporter- LBJ Hospital, Salary: $16.48 - $18.15

Job Summary

Transports patients, specimens and medication throughout Harris Health System facilities via wheelchair, stretcher and/or bed in an efficient, timely and safe manner while maintaining proper infection control methods, and ensuring that the patient is given the utmost courtesy and respect by utilizing good customer service skills and adhering to the Service First standards of behavior.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: High School Diploma or GED
  • Work Experience (Years and Area): 1 yr. preferred
  • Management Experience (Years and Area): None
  • Equipment Operated: Stretcher, Wheelchair, Hospital Bed, Radio equipment, Oxygen Tanks, Cadaver Stretcher and electronic devices
Special Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Bilingual Skills Preferred? Yes - Languages: Spanish, Writing/Correspondence
  • Other Skills: CPR
  • Work Schedule: Weekends, Holidays, Flexible, Overtime
  • Other Requirements: Healthcare customer service preferred
