Job Overview

The Clinical Assistant is responsible for history taking and patient preparation from newborns to the elderly, assisting with examinations, documenting procedures, and supporting providers as needed. Duties include clerical tasks such as patient registration, managing telephones, rooming patients, assisting with procedures, and performing point of care testing. The role requires organization, flexibility, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

Education - CMA: Must have completed a certified/registered medical assistant program, with at least one year of experience in a physician office or outpatient clinic.

Education - CCMA: Completion of a Medical Assisting certification program. One year of clinic experience required or completion of the CMA Resident program at Memorial Hospital.

Education - LPN: Must have completed an accredited licensed practical nurse training program with current registration in Indiana. CPR Provider-C certification required.
