Job description

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Supervisory Paralegal to join our team supporting a large Federal agency with a technical support initiative.

Pay Range

This range is provided by CGS Federal (Contact Government Services). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range: $59,210.67/yr - $76,128.00/yr

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise paralegals and support staff, especially on major legal research projects or courtroom support
  • Monitor work progress and report on status
  • Ensure work meets contract and attorney standards and is delivered timely
  • Perform quality control and troubleshooting
  • Develop administrative and technical procedures for work processes
  • Report to Project Supervisor or Manager; interact with government and legal staff
  • Conduct complex legal and factual research
  • Design systems for managing case files and materials
  • Assist trial staff with coordination and research
  • Coordinate access to legal research facilities
  • Collaborate with support components like data processing
Qualifications
  • Minimum three years litigation paralegal experience, including trial work
  • At least one year in automated litigation support (Relativity or similar)
  • Prior trial support experience necessary
  • Supervisory experience with strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of federal and state courts, legal research procedures, and resources
  • Excellent communication skills and familiarity with legal research tools (LEXIS, Westlaw)
  • Proficiency with computer applications: word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging
  • Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure
  • Paralegal certification required

Preferred: Relativity and eDiscovery knowledge
