What are Trust Fund Positions?
Trust Fund positions are unique to the Smithsonian. They are paid for from a variety of sources, including the Smithsonian endowment, revenue from our business activities, donations, grants and contracts. Trust employees are not part of the civil service, nor does trust fund employment lead to Federal status. The salary ranges for trust positions are generally the same as for federal positions and in many cases trust and federal employees work side by side. This position is located in the Office of Digital Transformation (ODT), Office of the Under Secretary of Administration (OUSA) Smithsonian Institution (SI). The Smithsonian Institution is a diverse museum and research complex dedicated to the increase and diffusion of knowledge. The Office of Digital Transformation (ODT) is responsible for making SI a digitally empowered Institution that builds purposeful connections between the knowledge we share and the people we serve, inviting every household, classroom, and community around the globe on a lasting journey to explore, learn, and find meaning together. An integral part of this digital transformation is the implementation of a pan institutional Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution.
The Smithsonian Institution’s Office of Digital Transformation (ODT) is looking for a CRM Program Architect. This role plays a key part of the Smithsonian’s CRM strategy and is responsible for designing, developing, and oversight of the initial implementation and continuous enhancements to Salesforce solutions across SI. This role ensures that Salesforce ecosystem solutions align with Institutional and Unit-level business objectives and integrates effectively with other systems. It involves managing technical teams, working with stakeholders, and providing strategic guidance to optimize the use of Salesforce and maximize ROI for the institution.
