Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency in Arlington, VA seeks a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) to lead technical teams, guide risk assessments, and align initiatives with DHS priorities.
The role focuses on safeguarding the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of information, coordinating policy changes, and delivering secure IT solutions across the agency’s infrastructure.
This announcement is issued under the Direct Hire Authority (DHA) to recruit for positions for which there is a critical hiring need. Selectee(s) will receive a career or career-conditional appointment in the competitive service and may be required to serve a one year probationary period.
Typical work assignments include, but are not limited to: Serving as an expert consultant to functional teams to assist them in anticipating, identifying, evaluating, mitigating and minimizing risks associated with IT systems vulnerabilities. Identifying issues and obtaining authoritative resolution of issues pertaining to conflicts among CISA functional areas, technical areas, or divisions.
Ensuring that the implemented security safeguards are adequate to assure the integrity, availability and confidentiality of the information being processed, transmitted or stored consistent with the level of sensitivity of that information. Reviewing and evaluating security incident response policies. Developing policy or advocating for changes in policy that will support new initiatives or required changes/enhancements.
Consulting with customers to evaluate functional requirements and translating functional requirements into technical solutions. Providing expert assessments of proposed design measures' feasibility, based on broad knowledge of parameters imposed by the IT infrastructure and operations. Leading, coordinating, communicating, integrating, and being accountable for the overall success of the program, ensuring alignment with agency or enterprise priorities.
Advising employees on administrative subjects such as performance, work duties or leave request. Identifying employee developmental or training needs to ensure successful growth.

The posted pay range is $143913 – $187093/yr.
