Job summary

The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) in Maryland seeks a Senior NTWL Director of Test Technologies to lead the flight test engineering and related technologies for development, experimentation, and evaluation of next-generation aircraft and mission systems.

You will shape a broad Test and Evaluation strategy, drive workforce development, upgrade infrastructure, and justify investment proposals to close capability gaps and advance DoD, Navy, and NAWCAD mission

Responsibilities

• You will develop a broad-scope Test and Evaluation strategy aligning with DoW, Navy, and NAWCAD mission.
• Holistically address workforce development and utilization, alongside infrastructure and equipment revitalization and recapitalization.
• You will serve as Technical expert in the fields of aircraft and mission systems test and evaluation engineering, and test strategy.
• You will identify critical science and technology and research and development needs that include ASuW, sensor fusion, EW, Capabilities Based Test and Evaluation, Electro-Optics/Infrared Systems and advanced weapon systems development and test.
• You will participate in the development, justification, execution, and review of investment proposals to address identified requirements/gaps/needs.

You will serve as the Senior NTWL Director of Test Technologies for flight test engineering and associated technologies in development, experimentation and evaluation of next-generation aircraft and mission systems within the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will develop a broad-scope Test and Evaluation strategy aligning with DoW, Navy, and NAWCAD mission. Holistically address workforce development and utilization, alongside infrastructure and equipment revitalization and recapitalization.
• You will apply a disciplined framework utilizing research, collaboration, and a technical needs forecast to address Test and Evaluation related Fleet capability gaps, program needs and Science and Technology objectives.
• You will serve as Technical expert in the fields of aircraft and mission systems test and evaluation engineering, and test strategy.
• You will identify critical science and technology and research and development needs that include ASuW, sensor fusion, EW, Capabilities Based Test and Evaluation, Electro-Optics/Infrared Systems and advanced weapon systems development and test.
