Job summary

Hale Koa Hotel in Honolulu is seeking a Supervisory Contract Specialist to manage pre-award and post-award contracting within the Contracting Department. The role requires advanced knowledge of acquisition laws, contract principles, regulations, and leadership experience to mentor staff.

The successful candidate will oversee procurement processes, ensure compliance with applicable statutes and EOs, and guide the team through complex contracting actions in a demanding hotel environment.

Qualifications

• One year supervisory experience leading, teaching, and mentoring others.
• Minimum five years of extensive work experience in procuring and administering contracts.

Job description

Serves as a Supervisory Contract Specialist in the Contracting Department of the Hale Koa Hotel.

2026 Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) for Honolulu, HI is 8.64%.

The first cut-off date will be on 02 November 2026.

Additional lists will be pulled after this first cut-off date at the request of the hiring manager.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

• Minimum five years of extensive work experience in applying acquisition laws, contract principles, statutes, Executive Orders, regulations and/or procedures applicable to pre-award and post award actions.
• One year supervisory experience leading, teaching, and mentoring others.
• Minimum five years of extensive work experience in procuring and administering contracts.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

• Bachelor's degree which includes a minimum of 24 semester hours of business courses, Certified Professional Contracts Manager, Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Level II/III in contracting or other applicable professional contracting certification.
• Warranted Contracting Officer in services, supplies and construction.
