A leading federal department seeks a Supervisory Clinical Lab Scientist to oversee laboratory operations. The supervisory CLS establishes and monitors the quality of preanalytical processes as part of the overall laboratory quality management program and initiates corrective actions as well as develops policies and procedures, manages document control, develops performance standards and position descriptions/ functional statements. Responsible for professional and administrative oversight of operations and fiscal and resource management to maintain effective interdepartmental relations.

The CLS supervisor performs the full range of supervisory duties and serves as a consultant, facilitator, trainer, or technical advisor to staff at all levels to ensure facility compliance with clinical laboratory accreditation and regulatory standards that include, but are not limited to, Joint Commission (JC), College of American Pathologists (CAP), and the Office of the Inspector General (OIG).
