Job summary

Defense Finance and Accounting Service is seeking candidates through the Subject Matter Expert Panel Assessment to evaluate applicants for federal positions. Human Resources will determine qualifications for entry grades based on experience, education, and the defined specialized experience in accounting and financial analysis.

A year of specialized experience at the GS-7/GS-8 level is required, with demonstrated ability to maintain ledgers and advise customers.

Specialized Experience Is Defined As: Maintaining ledgers, reconciliation of subsidiary ledgers, and preparation of required reports and analysis of accounting information to ensure proper maintenance of ledgers and records, trial balances, reconciliations, adjustments, and corrective actions; working with a variety of accounting and financial automated systems; and providing professional advice, assistance, and information to customers and co-workers. You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
