POSITION SUMMARY

The WMS Supervisor will serve as the senior on-site systems expert responsible for supporting warehouse management systems (WMS) and associated technologies. This role combines operational systems support and troubleshooting (WMS and others), subject matter expertise to ensure optimal system performance, user adoption, and systems and hardware focused continuous improvement. The position acts as an escalated Level 1 support resource for the WMS user base, relying on immediate direct reports for initial troubleshooting. The Supervisor is expected to partner with IT, Operations, and customers in order to troubleshoot technical and hardware issues, implement enhancements, and support system integrations. This role may require regional support of satellite locations and occasional travel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

System Support & Operations

• Serve as escalated Level 1 support resource for WMS users
  • WMS user management (role assignment, maintenance, expiration)
  • Operations task support (receiving, order fulfillment, inventory discrepancies)
  • Performance (troubleshoot system slowness, unexpected error messages)
• On behalf of operations, capture, track, and resolve system defects; escape complex issues as needed
  • Create and manage support tickets and track resolution
• Support EDI/API connectivity and setup
  • Work with customer service team on escalated ASN/program interface issues
• Maintain communication with corporate IT and operations stakeholders

User Support, Training & Documentation

• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions
• Provide end-user support and identify training gaps
• Work with Learning and Development team on curriculum
• Ensure curriculum is current to platform version, covers existing and new functionality
• Train associates on WMS, RF devices, and tools as necessary
• Communicate system updates and resolutions to operations and management

Hardware & Technical Support

• Hardware support
  • RF scanners, Laptops, WMS Printers
  • Work with vendors on maintenance, warranty exchange, decommissioning
• Troubleshoot network and integration issues
  • Partner connectivity (contract manufacturers, end customers)
  • Internal corporate / business systems

Continuous Improvement & Change Management

• Project Team Support
• Expected to provide subject matter feedback and manage direct reports as required to meet periodic project deliverables
• Support UAT (user acceptance testing) and new site implementation rollout cycles
• Drive WMS change request (CR) process
  • Draft and amend CR for site/enterprise review, attend weekly discussions
  • Participate in coordinated global platform testing as necessary
  • Liaison with site management on viability of cost and LOE for change request
• Serve as intake for system improvement ideas
  • Field input from operations and engineering on throughput limiting task
  • Analyze data for improvement opportunities to systemic bottlenecks
• Collaboration & Communication
  • Partner with operations, IT, and customers
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately
  • Maintain professional communication

Reporting & Analysis

• Track trends and recommend solutions
• Support operational analytics
  • Ability to quickly aggregate feedback from customers/internal partners and team members into actionable executive summaries

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Education & Experience

• 3+ years in warehouse or distribution environment
• 2+ years of IT or help desk experience
• WMS experience, preferably Blue Yonder or SAP
• Inventory management experience required
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred

Skills & Abilities

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Familiarity with AI Assistants such as MS Co-Pilot, Claude, or ChatGPT
• RF system and warehouse technology knowledge
• Training and coaching ability
• Strong communication skills

For this position, the expected base pay range is $80,000.00 – $97,500.00 . Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
