Supervisor, Warehouse Operations, Cox Communications

Job Summary

The Supervisor, Warehouse Operations will lead Supply Chain personnel in all tasks assigned to an Area Fulfillment Center (AFC). This includes, but is not limited to, Technician fulfillment, material storage, order picking, inventory management, and the shipping and receiving of CPE and materials, including cross-dock operations. Responsible for supervising and maintaining secure inventory storage and control of CPE and materials into and out of the local market facilities. Qualified candidates must be able to ensure effectiveness of internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Manage warehouse operations including processing inbound receipts, picking, staging, preparing shipments, and distribution to internal and external partners.
  2. Optimize Supply Chain logistics to ensure appropriate inventory allocation across all end users.
  3. Maintain housekeeping standards and enhance safety protocols; ensure training for direct reports.
  4. Participate in hiring for AFC roles.
  5. Lead warehouse team through job assignments, goal setting, feedback, and coaching.
  6. Foster a collaborative environment and develop team capabilities through effective communication and training.
  7. Implement cost-effective strategies and improve workflows by analyzing procedures.
  8. Develop and update SOPs; ensure compliance.
  9. Streamline inventory processes using technology for accurate tracking.
  10. Collaborate cross-functionally within Supply Chain and with boundary partners.
  11. Lead change initiatives effectively, minimizing impact on personnel.
  12. Resolve fulfillment issues escalated by team or partners.
  13. Operate company vehicles and warehouse equipment safely; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

Minimum

  • High School diploma/GED with 5 years of related experience, or BA/BS with 3 years, or MS with 1 year.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Self-motivated with project and relationship management skills.
  • Operational and business analysis expertise.
  • Strong influencing and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Availability to travel.

Preferred

  • Leadership experience.
  • Advanced MS Office and QuickBase skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma training.
  • Experience in the communications industry (highly desirable).

Salary range: USD 59,600 - 89,400 per year. Compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience, with potential additional incentives.
